Getting paid shouldn't be the hardest part of the job.
Most people who work for themselves invoice the same way: a table in Word, a spreadsheet, or a design tool never meant for it. You nudge the columns until they line up, export it, and hope it looks professional enough. Then next month you do the whole thing again from scratch.
And then the harder half. The due date passes, and now you have to decide how to ask a person you probably like for money they already owe you. So you put it off. A week becomes three. Meanwhile the work is done and the money isn't in.
Nudge exists for both halves of that. Save what you charge for once and an invoice takes under a minute. After that it quietly keeps track of who hasn't paid, tells you when it's worth saying something, and writes the message for you, pitched to how late it actually is, so you never have to find the words yourself.
You don't need to be an accountant to use it, and it will never ask you to become one.
Built by someone who sends invoices
This started as a tool for one person who was tired of rebuilding the same document every month, not as a business plan. Every field exists because a real job needed it, and anything that felt like admin theatre got cut.
The awkward part is the point
Plenty of tools help you make an invoice. Almost none help with the bit that actually keeps you up: asking again, a fortnight later, without sounding desperate. That is the part this takes off your hands.
Your work stays yours
Your invoices, clients and rates are locked to your account inside the database itself. Not as a policy promise, but as a rule the database enforces, so nobody else can read them, including through the app.
Free for now, and straight with you about it
No card, no countdown, nothing switched off to make a point. A proper paid plan will come later, for the bigger stuff, but you will hear about it from me first, with plenty of notice, never as a surprise one morning.
What it isn't
It isn't accounting software, and it won't file your taxes. It doesn't track time, manage projects, or try to become your whole business.
It makes invoices that look like you meant them, keeps them in one place, and makes sure you actually get paid for them.
